Purchasing beautiful solid wood furniture is not just a mere purchase - its an investment.
For this 100-year-old cabinet, this is a prime example on how even an antique can breathe new life with some classic love and care.
The cabinet first arrived in our workshop all painted in white. When it comes to restoring furniture, we rarely ever recommend painting it over, especially when it's a piece with such exquisite carving and details.
This project was one of the toughest and longest processes we've ever had to take on because of the delicate carvings and details of the cabinet that comes with it - we don't want to break anything!
But with a lot of patience and hard work, this can be achieved. Our passion for beautiful furniture is part of the driving reasons why we do it and we were determined to bring it back to its former glory.
While we couldn't get all the white paint out, we realize that it now highlights the carvings and details which actually enhances the overall beauty of the cabinet!
It just comes to show that the evolution of a piece, whether in a furniture or even a person, could turn out beautifully.
We're thankful for our clients who fully trust us, especially with their most treasured heirlooms. We hope this cabinet serves the family for another century with more tales to carry.
